An extractor needs to operate, move air effectively and discharge appropriately. A noisy fan, blocked grille or short run time can be worth checking, but electrical or ventilation work must be handled by a competent person.
Painted plaster, grout, silicone, timber and porous boards are not interchangeable. Some materials can be cleaned and treated; failed sealant or damaged porous material may need replacement.
Loose coating is removed, the quoted surface is treated and allowed to become suitable before compatible preparation and bathroom paint. Anti-mould paint is one part of a system, not a repair for continuing water entry.
Localised treatment starts at £179 and treatment with an agreed complete finish starts at £349. A full affected room starts at £299 treatment-only or £549 with suitable repair and decoration.
